Following their six-game win streak to start the season, the Ohio State men’s basketball team lost their first game of the 2018-19 season last week. The Buckeyes fell to Syracuse 72-62 in the Big Ten/Acc Challenge on Wednesday, but rebounded (pun intended) on Sunday night with a 79-59 win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers to open up the two-game December portion of the Big Ten schedule.

With those games added to their season resume, on Monday the Bucks dipped a bit in the most recent AP poll dropping four spots to No. 19. They had been No. 16 heading into last week.

Other Big Ten teams in the rankings are No. 5 Michigan, No. 10 Michigan State, No. 12 Wisconsin, No. 18 Iowa, No. 23 Maryland, and No. 24 Nebraska. Purdue is on the outside looking in, with the just one vote less than No. 25 Furman. Indiana is also receiving votes.

The Ohio State Buckeyes will be back in action as they travel to Chicago’s United Center to take on the Illinois Fighting Illini on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network, and we will have you covered here on Land-Grant Holy Land.
