It’s been no secret that the Ohio State Buckeyes have made a push over the last week in sending out new offers. On Wednesday, that theme stayed the same, as more offers were sent out.
Let’s take a look at who were the latest prospects to pick up the coveted Scarlet and Gray offer.
Into the state up North
With Kerry Coombs no longer on staff, it’s a big blow to the Buckeyes in regards to their recruiting efforts in enemy territory. In the post-Coombs world, Urban Meyer and his staff will need to pick up the pace when it involves recruiting in places like Michigan.
On Wednesday, OSU went back into that state of North, and sent out an offer to 2019 outside linebacker prospect Lance Dixon. Dixon made his latest offer known on Twitter.

The 6-foot-2 OLB hails from West Bloomfield, Mich., which is about 40 minutes from Ann Arbor, and a little over an hour to East Lansing. Naturally, both Michigan powerhouse schools (Michigan and Michigan State) have sent him offers already.
As a matter of fact, the Wolverines and Spartans aren’t the only Big Ten schools to send in their offer to Dixon; since Dec. 5, Wisconsin, Indiana and Minnesota have joined Ohio State as schools that have reached out to the 2019 stud.
While only a three-star, the latest offers may help push his overall grade up the charts. According to the 247sports composite, Dixon comes in as the 417th best recruit, 23rd best OLB, and 11th best prospect out of Michigan.
After making his deal known to the public, quite a few people were ecstatic on Dixon’s Twitter timeline about Ohio State being the latest school to give him an offer. Could those retweets help push the Buckeyes into the conversation for another Michigan recruit? If so, here’s what the Scarlet and Gray could be getting from Dixon if he chooses to take his talents to Columbus.

Zone 6’s latest offer
On Tuesday, OSU sent out an offer to 2020 wide receiver Porter Rooks. If you thought Zone 6 was taking a break from cranking out offers, you would be mistaken.
Wednesday brought another membership offer within the Buckeye receiving corps, as three-star 2019 WR Elijah Higgins (Austin, TX / Bowie) was the latest pass-catcher to have the chance to suit up in Scarlet and Gray.

Higgins has had a spectacular final week of January, picking up six offers along the way. Texas, Notre Dame and Texas A&M were just some of the schools that sent him offers—with OSU being the ones to close out the month.
With one more year left before needing to make a college decision, 22 schools have had an interest in the 6-foot-3 Austin native. Listed by 247sports as a WR and a tight end, Higgins’ 247sports composite score is centered around his ability at WR. He comes in as the 64th best receiver in his class and 49th best recruit from the talent rich state of Texas. But if Higgins keeps getting offers in rapid succession like he has over the past week, then he may have the potential to rise up into four-star status.
