Ohio State’s Robert Landers is the spring game’s fruit-snack Santa Claus

All, hail the Buckeyes’ Big Bob!

Now I understand that all Ohio State football fans are anxiously awaiting an announcement as to whom will be the starting quarterback when the Buckeyes kick it off against Oregon State on Sept. 1. And then, we are also deeply invested in seeing how the running back rotation will work itself out.

However, I am here to tell you that there is no OSU football player that you should care about more than Robert Landers.

Not only did the somewhat “vertical challenged” rising-junior defensive lineman roll into The Horseshoe for today’s spring game with what appears to be a football of gold, but apparently, it has a secret compartment for him to stash some snacks, just in case he needs a “burst” of energy.

His snack of choice? Gushers. However, being the kind and fun-loving soul that he is, Big Bob passed out some of his favorite fruit snacks to children lined up at the stadium’s entrance.

The 6’1, 283-pounder ends the spring as one of the DTs fighting for a starting spot. He’s only had a total of 26 tackles in his two years at Ohio State, but 12.5 of those were for a loss. And, who can forget what might have been against Indiana last fall?

So, Big Bob Landers, we salute you, and look forward to what shenanigans you’ve got planned for the fall!
