It’s been a busy weekend for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team. In addition to all of the players drafted and signed as NFL free agents, the Buckeyes also picked up a commitment from three-star Bryson Shaw on Saturday. But, they added an even bigger piece to their 2019 puzzle with the commitment of four-star outside linebacker, Cade Stover.

The Mansfield, Ohio native is the fourth-ranked player in the state in his class, and is considered the 130th best player in the country, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. He also currently sits as the eighth best linebacker nationally.

Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 225 pounds, Stover also had offers from Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Michigan, Notre Dame, West Virginia, Texas, and many others. Kevin Wilson led the recruiting for the Buckeyes.

Stover’s commitment to the Buckeyes makes eight pledges for the 2019 class, and he is their third in-state commitment for the class as well.

Ohio State is also waiting on the commitment announcement from five-star wide receiver Garrett Wilson. The Austin, Texas native is scheduled to announce his decision on Sunday night. Considered a heavy OSU lean, Texas and Oklahoma State are still considered in the mix.
