After all of Buckeye Nation was whipped it a frenzy awaiting a resolution to the Urban Meyer investigation on Wednesday, it should not be a shock to anyone that once Meyer’s three-game suspension was announced that former and future Buckeyes would want to have their say on social media.
Unsurprisingly, the recently retired Joshua Perry replied with a considered and level-head message for Ohio State fans.
#BuckeyeNation- Let’s all take a deep breath here. Whether you agree or disagree with the verdict, the sun will come up tomorrow. And the Buckeyes will be fine. They have the best of everything- assistant coaches, training and PLAYERS! This team will be just fine #GoBucks

Others recalled the successes shared with Meyer, specifically the 2014 National Championship run. It should also be noted that five-star, 2019 wide receiver commit Garrett Wilson retweeted Michael Thomas’ post.

Tracy Sprinkle seems to think that Meyer’s suspension could lead to bigger and better things for the Buckeyes this season.

Others expressed confusion as to how the university arrived at their decision to suspend the head coach.
Sooooo if the committee determined that Urban and Gene both acted in “good faith” ...what’s the suspension for??

There seems to be little consensus between the 3 men at the podium... I’m not quite sure Urban believes he should be suspend

While some players, including the top-ranked center in the 2020 class Luke Wypler, expressed their feelings in gifs, as it should be.
