In the latest “Why is this News?” edition of the “Hangout in the Holy Land” podcast, co-hosts Matt Tamanini and Alexis Chassen catch up on all of the biggest Buckeye stories from the past week, including Urban Meyer’s return to the sideline and the Monday morning press conference.
While Meyer’s nearly hour-long Q&A doesn’t seem to have done much to sway the national narrative, it did clarify some things for Matt.
The pair also discussed Ryan Day’s big payday, Nick Bosa’s injury and surgery, and the possibility for some “Tate Martell Time” against Tulane.
Alexis also gives us a rundown of all of the NFL related news concerning former Buckeyes, from Carlos Hyde leaving the hospital where his wife was in labor to play in Thursday Night Football to Billy Price’s foot injury to J.T. Barrett getting cut from the New Orleans Saints practice squad.
The pair also makes predictions about the upcoming Ohio State and Tulane matchup. And finally, Matt defends his—not actually serious—article in which he suggests some absolutely ridiculous potential turnover props that the Buckeyes should could bring to the sideline this season.
