After a come-from-behind victory on the road against Penn State, the Ohio State Buckeyes were rewarded for their top 10 win. In the newest edition of the AP Poll, the Bucks took over the No. 3 spot with one No. 1 vote, and are behind Alabama and Georgia.
Clemson, the No. 3 team entering the week, slid down one position to No. 4, after narrowly escaping Syracuse at home. LSU rounds out the top 5.
Penn State, who entered Saturday night’s game as No. 9, didn’t see too big of a drop, as they now stand at No. 11. The Nittany Lions held a 12-point lead at one point in the fourth quarter, but couldn’t contain the Buckeye rally. Penn State had a chance to take the game at the end, but a failed fourth down conversion iced the game in favor of Ohio State.
Outside of the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions, three other Big Ten teams appear in this week’s Top 25. A narrow win against Northwestern caused Michigan to slide one spot down to No. 15, and a win for Michigan State over Central Michigan moved them one spot up to No. 20. Wisconsin, who had a bye, moved down one spot to No. 16.
