Ohio State releases depth chart for Big Ten opener against Rutgers

Jordan Fuller remains a starter, despite injury.

Oregon State v Ohio State

Thanks to a lopsided score, inclement weather, and high humidity, the Ohio State Buckeyes were able to get a large number of players into the season opening 77-31 win over the Oregon State Beavers.

Due to that experience, and a number of nagging injuries, there were a few adjustments to the two-deep depth chart heading into the Buckeyes’ Big Ten opener against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

Though he was listed as one of the starting safeties going into the game against the Beavers, Jordan Fuller did not see the field on Saturday. However, he remains as the starting free safety on the Week 2 list.

Also of note, linebacker Baron Browning is no longer listed at 6-foot-6 as he was in the initial release last week. His height has been bumped down to 6-4. Tuf Borland remains a backup middle linebacker while he is on a “pitch count” according to defensive coordinator Greg Schiano. However, Borland did move up to just behind Browning on the depth chart.

Following a suspension for Game 1, freshman safety Marcus Hooker also appears on the two-deep for the first time.
