NCAA Womens Basketball: SEC Conference Tournament - Missouri vs Kentucky Joshua S. Kelly-USA TODAY Sports

On LGHL’s podcast Play Like a Girl, we talk all things Ohio State football, and talk to and about women in and around Ohio State athletics and beyond.

In the sixth episode, Tia and Meredith are joined by lawyer, producer, and writer Kelsey Tranior. Kelsey is an in-house counsel and business affairs at Abrams Media, and a writer and host of Calling Game on Mediaite, a weekly column/podcast focused on the biggest issues in sports and the media’s lack of coverage in women’s sports.

Kelsey elaborates on the University of Kentucky Title IX lawsuit, what exactly Title IX states, and what this means for female collegiate athletes.

They also discuss California’s bill signed today allowing student athletes to get paid for their image and likeness, the lack of media coverage in the WNBA and other women’s sports, and Kelsey’s advice for women who are trying to make their way up in the sport industry.
