On LGHL’s Outside the Shoe podcast, we talk all things Ohio State athletics that happen outside the confines of the Horseshoe.
In today’s episode, Meredith highlights the start of the Ohio State swimming and diving season, including the Buckeyes’ season opener against Texas A&M. The Ohio State men entered the season ranked fifth nationally, and the women were not far behind at No. 14.
In the weekend’s meet, the Aggie women came in ranked 12th nationally, while the men were listed at No. 11. Unfortunately, for Ohio State, neither side could quite keep up with their hosts, as the women fell by a combined score of 174-124 and the men by a narrow, 153-147 margin.
Regardless of the outcome last weekend, the Buckeyes have a bright season ahead. Overall, with so many outstanding swimmers and divers on the roster, the Buckeyes are set up for success throughout the season, and have a chance to get back on track this weekend when they travel to State College to take on Virginia Tech and Penn State.
