LSU claims top spot in SB Nation FanPulse Top 25, Ohio State stays at No. 3

But, the Buckeyes remain atop the LGHL Poll.

Another week, another No. 1 on the SB Nation Top 25 FanPulse survey, and yet another poll in which the Ohio State Buckeyes are not the top-ranked team as voted by fans around the country. However, the LSU Tigers — quarterbacked by a former Buckeye — have supplanted the Alabama Crimson Tide for the top spot, followed by OSU, the defending national champion Clemson Tigers, and the Penn State Nittany Lions all in the top five.

With a showdown with PSU looming on Nov. 23 — assuming that the teams can collectively get through Maryland, Rutgers, Minnesota, and Indiana — that should be an exciting top-five match-up in The Horseshoe.

However, as they are the one true fanbase, the Buckeye fans who vote in the Land-Grant Holy section of the poll have again seen fit to name Ohio State as the top team in the country, which is confirmed by every non-biased analytics system.

In addition to the Top 25 Poll, the FanPulse survey asks additional questions every week, and this time around, they asked what the most surprising thing from this past weekend was. Personally, I went with the Texas Tech and Kansas ending, but I get the Kansas State-Oklahoma upset; although, if you’ve paid attention to the Big 12 over the years, you know something crazy is going to happen in the heartland basically every weekend.

And finally, every week, FanPulse gauges the level of confidence that fans have in the direction of their specific program. For the sixth time in a row — and seventh on the season — Ohio State fans have complete confidence in Ryan Day’s program.
