Normally when people say that all eyes are on a specific event, it is a bit of hyperbole, but on Saturday, Nov. 23, it will be as close to true as humanly possible, at least in the college football world as not one, not two, but three different networks will be sending their pregame shows to Columbus to preview the game between the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes and the No. 9 Penn State Nittany Lions.
FOX’s “Big Noon Kickoff” has long been teasing that they will be on campus for this matchup, and they will in fact be in Columbus as Rob Stone leads a group of analysts that consists of Ohio State’s legendary coach Urban Meyer, Columbus native Brady Quinn, and former USC Trojans Heisman Trophy winners* Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart.
FOX’s show will broadcast from outside the southeast corner of the stadium by the Victory Bell beginning at 10 a.m. ET before moving inside The Horseshoe at 11 a.m. ET.
Not to be outdone, the Worldwide Leaders will be bringing “ESPN’s College GameDay” to Columbus for a record 19th time. They will set up shop on the South Lawn outside St. John Arena.
Led by Rece Davis, the show will begin at 9 a.m. ET with former Ohio State captain, the blue-eyed Buckeye Kirk Herbstreit along with Lee Corso, Ohio native and TTUN turncoat Desmond Howard, David Pollack, and Maria Taylor.
This will be the 46th time that “GameDay” will immanent from the site of an Ohio State game, the second most of any program, behind only Alabama.
Last, and most certainly least, the Big Ten Network’s... <checks notes> ah, yes, that’s right “BTN Tailgate” will broadcast along the walkway between Ohio Stadium and the RPAC beginning at 10 a.m ET.
If you are unfamiliar with the show — which, let’s be honest, you are — it is hosted by Dave Revsine, Gerry DiNardo, Howard Griffith, and former Michigan volleyball player Michelle McMahon, none of whom have Ohio State connections, so really what’s the point?
