On Land-Grant Holy Land In Conversation, we talk to people in and around Ohio State athletics, and the sporting world at large, to bring you a different insight and perspective to the teams, athletes, and university that you love.

On today’s episode, we are in conversation with Land-Grant Holy Land’s Ohio State Buckeyes historian Jim Baird to discuss the history of the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry.

Earlier this week, LGHL released the fourth episode of Jim’s podcast series “I Want to Go Back” in which he chronicles perhaps the most important game in the series, at least from Ohio State’s perspective and how the end of World War I changed the fortunes of OSU against TTUN.

In addition to discussing that story, we also spin things forward and discuss the different approaches that the last three full-time Ohio State coaches — John Cooper, Jim Tressel, and Urban Meyer — have taken to The Game, and what Ryan Day can learn from that.
