On Sunday, Dec. 15, 57 Ohio State student-athletes will graduate in the fall commencement ceremony in the Schottenstein Center. The ceremony, which will begin at 2 p.m. ET can be viewed HERE.
Included in the nearly 60 graduates will be current football players Joshua Alabi, Rashod Berry, Tuf Borland, Drue Chrisman, Jonathon Cooper, Jashon Cornell, Gavin Cupp, Davon Hamilton, Logan Hittle, “Big Bob” Robert Landers, Austin Mack, Jake Metzer, and Kevin Woidke.
Also graduating are former football players Isaiah Pryor — who announced that he would transfer earlier this season — former OSU corner back Doran Grant, who will play for the DC Defenders in the XFL next year; former offensive lineman Blake Pfenning; and former Ohio State All-American Mike Doss, who will be receiving his master’s degree in operational excellence.
Notable Buckeyes from other sports receiving their degrees this weekend are Julia Rizk, who won the 2019 NCAA indoor mile national championship. She also owns the OSU record for indoor mile and outdoor 1,500 meters. Following graduation she will continue her training for the 2020 Olympic trials.
Former OSU women’s basketball player Samantha Prahalis will graduate as well with a degree in criminology thanks to the athletic department’s degree completion program. After ending her career as the Big Ten’s all-time leader in career assists, Prahlis played four seasons in the WNBA and another overseas.
Men’s gymnast Alec Yoder will also earn his degree in sports industry. He is a two-time Big Ten champion and holds eight All-America honors. Eight-time pistol All-American Anthony McCollum will also graduate on Sunday having won two national titles for the Buckeyes.
