Throughout the season, Land-Grant Holy Land will be bringing you uncut audio primarily from Ohio State press conference, but also from individual breakout sessions.
On today’s episode we hear from the Ohio State Buckeyes’ head football coach Ryan Day and wide receivers coach Brian Hartline. The audio comes from their individual press conferences on Wednesday, Dec. 18 the first day of college football’s early signing period.
While things got a little wonky when it comes to the cornerback position the following day, on Wednesday, the Buckeyes signed 24 players to their class, which currently sits as the third best group in the country, and naturally the top in the Big Ten.
Especially noteworthy is the work that Hartline did with restocking the team’s receiving room. In Julian Fleming, Jaxon Smith-Njgba, Gee Scott Jr. and Mookie Cooper, the Buckeyes not only signed the the top wide receiver in the country, but four of the top 15. So it is very fitting that Hartline got a chance to take a victory lap and talk about his class.
