Tonight, the second-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes will face off against the No. 3 and defending national champion Clemson Tigers in the Playstation Fiesta Bowl from State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
Many pundits believe that today’s game is a match-up between the two most complete teams in the country, and that is borne out in how similar they are in many of the stats and analytics. Clemson’s scoring offense is fourth nationally, while their scoring defense is first. Conversely, the Buckeyes’ offense is first, and their defense is third. OSU has the best scoring margin this season, and Clemson is second.
Other than senior defensive tackle Jonathon Cooper, who is redshirting, the Buckeyes come into the game without a single contributor listed on the unavailable report, and there will be no game-time decisions. early in the week, Justin Fields said that his injured knee is about 80 to 85 percent healthy following an MCL sprain.
