How many times will Urban get mentioned? You can bet on that!

We are just a few hours away from the kickoff of the second College Football Playoff semifinal game of the day as the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes take on the No. 3 and defending national champion Clemson Tigers in the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Ariz. The game will kick off sometime after 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.

That means that you have plenty of time to get your money in before the game starts. As of publication time, the line ranges from Clemson -2.5 to Ohio State -4.5 depending on the specific sports book according to sportsbettingdime.com. Similarly, the majority of books have the over/under at 63, but BetOnline has it up at 72.5.

However, those traditional betting options aren’t the only odds hat you can get your money down on. As with most big games, there are some interesting prop bets available for entertainment purposes only, of course.

Let’s run through some of the more interesting prop bets available.

Fiesta Bowl Totals Bets

Bet Odds
O/U Total Yards OSU 399.5
O/U total Yards Clemson 409.5
Odds of no punts for either team 250/1
O/U number of punts 9

If you want to get a bit more specific, you have a number of options that you can take specifically on the first score of the game.

Odds First TD is a Pass 9/10
Odds First TD is a Run 13/11
Odds First TD is a Return 22/1

A big set of the prop bets available center on the production of individual players. Personally, out of all of the numbers on this list, I would be smashing that J.K. Dobbins over total, as I imagine that he will be called up to shoulder a large portion of the Ohio State offensive load tonight. In fact, I predicted a significantly bigger total in our LGHL Tailgate podcast this morning.

Fiesta Bowl Individual Odds

Bet Odds
O/U Trevor Lawrence Passing Yards 240.5
O/U Justin Fields Passing Yards 225.5
Odds to Throw INT- Fields 5/3

O/U Chase Young sacks 1
Chase Young Odds for Zero Sacks 10/11
O/U J.K. Dobbins Rushing Yards 115.5
O/U Travis Etienne Rushing Yards 89.5

To get even more specific on the individual betting options, six players — three from Ohio State, three from Clemson — have odds on the board to score a rushing touchdown. Again, I am throwing all of the money I have at Dobbins on this one.

The last set of prop bet odds available have to do with whether or not — or in the case of Urban Meyer who often — various individuals will be referenced during the television broadcast. Now, I would need to get some sort of clarification of the Bosa Brothers options before I put some money down. Does that mean that both Nick Bosa and Joey Bosa need to be referenced together? Separately? Or is a single reference of either Bosa Brother enough to pay out?

Also, the Meyer option is interesting, because it’s impossible to tell the story of the 2019 Buckeyes without mentioning him. But, he is a part of the FOX college football coverage team that has been in a fairly public feud with ESPN throughout the season. So will Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Fowler avoid mentioning their former colleague or not?
