Podcast: Ohio State’s Ryan Day, Jeff Hafley, Justin Fields preview Big Ten Championship game

The coach, coordinator, and quarterback react to the Michigan win and look ahead to the Wisconsin rematch.

Throughout the season, Land-Grant Holy Land will be bringing you uncut audio primarily from Ohio State press conference, but also from individual breakout sessions.

On today’s episode we hear from three of Ohio State’s most important figures in the race for the Big Ten and National Championships, head coach Ryan Day, co-defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, and starting quarterback Justin Fields. On Tuesday, Dec. 3, the three met with the media for the Big Ten Championship Week press conferences.

Not only did they discuss the second matchup between the two title contenders of the season, but they reacted to the 56-27 win over the Michigan Wolverines, and discussed the College Football Playoff, Heisman Trophy, and more.

The No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes will take on the No. 8 Wisconsin Badgers in the Big Ten Championship game on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. ET in a game broadcast on FOX. In their first meeting of the season the Buckeyes beat up on the Badgers 38-7 in a rain-soaked game in Ohio Stadium.

This time, the game will be played indoors at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. With a win, the Buckeyes will move to 13-0 and likely earn the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff. Wisconsin is looking to perform well enough to receive a bid to the Rose Bowl.
