On Land-Grant Holy Land In Conversation, we talk to people in and around Ohio State athletics — and the sporting world at large — to bring you a different insight and perspective to the teams, athletes, and university that you love.
Today, we are in conversation with two experts to get you ready for tonight’s NCAA Tournament game between the No. 11 Ohio State Buckeyes and No. 6 Iowa State Cyclones. First, Lori Schmidt from 610 WTVN, then Levi Stevenson from SB Nation’s Iowa State blog, Wide Right & Natty Lite.
With Schmidt, we take a 30,000-foot view of the Buckeye basketball team, their ups and downs, and what makes them tick. And then, we look forward to what we might be able to expect in tonight’s game.
Then, later in the show with Stevenson, we talk about everything from the Cyclones’ incredible run to the Big 12 Tournament title, the balanced nature of the team’s offense, and ISU fans’ intense hatred for Aaron Craft.
The Buckeyes and the Cyclones will tip off on Friday, March 22 at approximately 9:50 p.m. ET/8:50 p.m. CT from Tulsa, Okla. The game will be broadcast on TBS.
