Did you miss out on your Ohio State recruiting fix while out enjoying the warmer weather with family and friends this weekend?

Don’t worry, Land-Grant Holy Land is here to get you caught back up with some of the latest happenings from the world of Buckeye football recruiting.

Buckeyes host solid group of prospects

It might’ve not been as long as what’s rumored to be on hand for the annual spring game this upcoming weekend, but the list of recruits who made the trek to Columbus to mingle with Ryan Day and the rest of the Ohio State football staff the during last few days was rather solid.

Headlined by five-star class of 2020 running back Kendall Milton, who was on campus for multiple days, the Buckeyes finally had a shot to show one of their top soon-to-be-senior targets what it would be like to play his college ball in Central Ohio.

Arriving from Clovis, Calif., on Thursday, the 6-foot-2, 220-pound Milton enjoyed his time with Day and the Buckeyes.

“It was a great visit,” Milton told Lettermen Row. “I was able to have great conversations with the coaches. It exceeded my expectations.

Using this spring to visit college programs, Milton’s cross country adventure to OSU won’t be his last time hopping on a plane this month. Wanting to get a good look at some of his top choices before he announces his official visits, LSU (April 15), Alabama (April 17) and, Georgia (April 20) are up next on his planned college trips.

Milton’s visit might’ve stole the headlines, but he wasn’t the only top notch prospect that was on hand to see what the Buckeyes are putting together for the 2019 season. Below are just some of those aforementioned recruits who took time out of their schedules to visit with Ohio State:

Both coaches loved my film. I’ll be back in June to work with Coach Hartline at camp, and Coach Alford will be out to watch me in person once the season starts. Coach Alford said to keep working hard and big things are coming very soon. (I was) super impressed with Hartline and the knowledge that he passed on to me in such a little amount of time.”

Thoughts: “I had a good visit and enjoyed watching the QBs compete in practice, and I had a good meeting with Coach Yurchich after practice. He wants me to send him some training film and come to camp and “ball out”. We talked about my football season and what leadership qualities he is looking for. It was fun. I got to talk with (Justin) Fields. Ohio State is a cool place.”
