While you were spending time with family and friends this holiday weekend you might’ve missed out on some of the latest news surrounding Ohio State football recruiting.

Don’t worry! Land-Grant Holy Land is here to get you caught back up with things.

2020 TE drops leader list

Ryan Day and the Buckeyes would love to add a tight end to the fold. Hitting the recruiting trail hard searching for a 2020 prospect that fits their program, the Ohio State Buckeyes learned this weekend that one of their targets is still considering bringing his talents to Columbus.

Cutting things down from over 20 scholarship offers, four-star rated recruit Jalin Conyers took to his Twitter page on Friday afternoon to let the world know he’s down to OSU, Texas Tech, Arizona State, Oklahoma, Georgia and LSU.

“They (Ohio State) are a very prestigious program athletically and academically. I built a great a great relationship with the coaching staff and we get along well and I just know that if I went there I would have a good future ahead of me,” Conyers stated to Land-Grant Holy Land soon after dropping his leader list.

A big time pass catching threat, Conyers has shown off his big play ability time and time again for Gruver (TX) High. Last season as a junior, the 6-foot-4, 220-pound All-American Game selection hauled in 61 receptions for 1,225 yards, and 19 touchdowns to help pace the Greyhounds to an overall record of 14-2, and a near state championship.

When it comes to rankings, the Texas native has his name among some the best in the soon-to-be-senior class. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, he’s currently pegged as the fifth tight end, and 218th overall prospect in the class of 2020.
