The Ohio State Buckeyes are adding another marquee game to their non-conference schedule this fall. Already set to open the season against Cincinnati at the Value City Arena, and to play West Virginia and Kentucky at neutral venues, the Buckeyes will now be hosting Villanova as part of the 2019 Gavitt Games, as reported by Jon Rothstein.
Ohio State will also go on the road this season as part of the Big Ten-ACC Challenge.

Both the Wildcats and Buckeyes were NCAA Tournament teams last season, so it’ll be a huge matchup at the Schottenstein Center when these two teams meet. Last season, Ohio State travelled to Creighton for a Gavitt Games contest — winning 69-60. And in 2016, the Buckeyes defeated Providence in Columbus in another meeting between Big Ten/Big East programs. All-time, OSU is 2-0 in the Gavitt Games.
Last season, the Big Ten defeated the Big East 5-3 in the Gavitt Games.
