Podcast: Ohio State baseball has big weekend series with Penn State

It’s the final home week for Buckeye baseball. Can the Buckeyes make up ground in the conference standings?

Geoff Hammersley

Outside the Shoe is a podcast that focuses on Ohio State sports that aren’t football or men’s basketball.

On this week’s edition of Outside the Shoe, Meredith Hein and Geoff Hammersley talk Ohio State baseball. Last weekend wasn’t a good weekend for the Buckeyes on the diamond, as they dropped all three games on the road at Minnesota. After a marathon 18-inning loss to open the series, the Bucks got blown away in game two before losing a heartbreaking 3-2 contest to close out the trip.

But, there is still six games left in conference play for Ohio State to make a push for the Big Ten Tournament. Meredith and Geoff preview the looming Penn State home series, and look into what the Buckeyes can do in order to make a postseason push.
