Did you miss out on your Ohio State recruiting news fix while out spending time with family and friends over the weekend?
Don’t worry! Land-Grant Holy Land is here to fix that for you.
2021 DT to visit Columbus
After locking up a scholarship offer from Ryan Day, Larry Johnson and the rest of the Ohio State coaching staff last month, four-star defensive tackle Taizse Johnson will soon have his chance to see what it would be like to rock the Buckeye scarlet and gray on the college level for himself.
Like fellow 2021 prospects Greg Penn III, and Aaron Armitage, Johnson will reportedly be among the recruits checking out what the Columbus campus has to offer on and off of the football field this upcoming weekend.
Currently considered the 12th defensive tackle, and 116th overall prospect in the class of 2021, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Ohio State isn’t the only major college football program pursuing the 6-foot-1, 290-pounder at the moment. Also trying to add Johnson’s name to their future roster are the likes of schools such as Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Maryland, Penn State, Tennessee and Texas A&M.
While he might’ve only been a sophomore, Johnson was a big part as to why the St. John’s Cadets finished last season with a final record of 9-1. An All-Conference selection, he finished the year off with nearly 70 total tackles, five quarterback sacks, and three forced fumbles.
