Outside the Shoe is a podcast that focuses on Ohio State sports that aren’t football or men’s basketball.

2018 was the very bad, no good year for the Ohio State men’s soccer team. After defeating Hofstra in their second game of the season, the Buckeyes would either lose or draw the remaining 16 games. With a new look roster in 2019, how will year two for head coach Brian Maisonneuve go in Columbus?

Meredith Hein and I look into how the Bucks will rebound from their one-win season. We’ll also review what went wrong in 2018, and how the lessons learned could help Ohio State have a better year on the pitch when their regular season starts on Aug. 30 against Cal State Northridge.
