While out spending time with family and friends over the weekend you probably missed out on your Ohio State Buckeyes recruiting fix.

Don’t worry! Land-Grant Holy Land is here to get you caught back up with some of the latest news from the trail surrounding the Buckeyes.

Buckeyes still in mix for 4-star SG

The Basketball Buckeyes team already holds two verbal pledges for the class of 2021, but is still looking to lock up their first commitment for 2020.

On Friday, Holtmann and crew received news that they are one step closer to making that happen when shooting guard Eugene Brown went to his Instagram page to release his top six college programs.

So far through his recruiting process, he’s earned over a dozen offers. But, the 6-foot-5, 170-pound Southwest DeKalb (GA) prospect has trimmed his options down to Ohio State, Butler, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville and Texas A&M.

Picking up his offer from the Buckeyes earlier this summer, Brown, who was averaging 11 points and six rebounds a contest last season before his season was cut short due to a knee injury, will reportedly visit his potential landing spots in the coming months.

Even with missing nearly his entire junior campaign, Brown is still considered one of the top prospects among the class of 2020. Per the 247Sports Composite, he’s currently pegged as the 24th shooting guard and 114th overall prospect in the country although he only suited up in four games.

Will the Buckeyes add Brown’s talent to their future roster? Stick with Land-Grant Holy Land for the latest.
