Also, is Chase Young a giant?

Yesterday was a big day for a handful of Ohio State players. Not only was Justin Fields confirmed to be the starting quarterback for the Buckeyes when they open up the season on Aug. 31 against Florida Atlantic, but seven players were selected to be captains for the 2019 squad.

On Monday, head coach Ryan Day announced that junior linebacker Tuf Borland, senior defensive end Jonathon Cooper, junior running back J.K. Dobbins, senior safety Jordan Fuller, senior wide receiver K.J. Hill, senior (and former walk-on) wide receiver C.J. Saunders, and junior defensive end Chase Young had all been selected by their teammates for the honor this season.

Day introduced the captains in front of the team on Monday morning, before announcing it to the media at his press conference.

The newly elected captains posed for pictures outside of the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, and — with all due respect to the other players — it looks like Young is the older brother helping out the neighborhood pee-wee team at practice.

However, that wasn’t the only highlight of the day, as the OSU football team tweeted out videos of some of the 2019 captains calling their moms with the good news.
