Ryan Day has made it a point to recruit Ohio hard, and Cincinnati is a good place to start.

Darrion Henry, Paris Johnson
Land-Grant Holy Land | Mick Walker

On the State Secrets recruiting episodes of the Land-Grant Holy Land podcast, one of our recruiting experts, Mick Walker, tries to educate our resident “old,” Matt Tamanini about recruiting.

On this episode, Mick walks Matt through everything he learned on his trip to Dayton and Cincinnati last week, providing updates on Ohio State Buckeyes recruits and commits Jakob James, CJ Hicks, Chase Harrison, Andrew Booker, Paris Johnson, Darrion Henry, Corey Kiner, and Joe Royer.

Mick says things are looking good for the No. 3 2022 athlete in the country Hicks from Alter High School to get an offer from OSU soon. He also thinks that the Buckeyes will be keeping a close eye on Centerville’s Harrison as their potential 2022 quarterback.

They also discuss the recent commitment of 2021 combo guard Meechie Johnson to the Ohio State men’s basketball team, and why there hasn’t been any pledges for the Bucks’ 2020 class.
