Urban Meyer, Joshua Perry join Big Ten Network football coverage

Just adding more Buckeyes to the total domination of college football coverage.

On Thursday, the Big Ten Network announced this fall’s lineup of broadcast teams and studio analysts. Joining BTN for the first time are former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer and former NFL and OSU linebacker Joshua Perry.

The Buckeye duo will both be a part of the network’s stable of analysts, which also includes for Michigan defensive tackle Mike Martin, former Indiana head coach Gerry DiNardo, former NFL and college head coach Dave Wannstedt, former NFL and Illinois running back Howard Griffith, and former Ohio State player and Minnesota head coach Glen Mason.

The analysts will be joined by hosts Dave Revsine, Mike Hall, Rick Pizzo, and the newest addition, Coley Harvey.

On the game broadcasting side, the lead team will be Kevin Kugler on play-by-play, Pizzo on sideline reporting, and Penn State legend Matt Millen, returning as a color commentator following a heart transplant on Christmas Eve 2018.

The second team will consist of Brandon Gaudin on pbp, Elise Menaker on the sideline, and former OSU great James Laurinaitis on color. The third team will feature Lisa Byington and J Leman. Laurinaitis’ team will open the season calling the Penn State vs. Idaho game on Aug. 31 at 3:30 p.m. ET.

Former Buckeye quarterback Stanley Jackson will be one of BTN’s additional analysts, joining Chuck Long and Shaun O’Hara.
