The men’s team has already won more matches than last season, while the women’s squad lost two close ones in Texas.

Outside the Shoe is a podcast that focuses on Ohio State sports that aren’t football or men’s basketball.

The Ohio State soccer programs are moving along with their seasons. The women’s squad, though, is still searching for their first win of the 2019 campaign. A tough road stretch to Texas A&M and TCU yielded two one-goal losses. But things could be changing this weekend. Meredith Hein and Geoff Hammersley look at who’s been impressing for the Buckeyes, and what needs to be done to get win numero uno.

After an abysmal 2018, the men’s team has picked up the pace this season. Three straight wins have the Bucks looking up, with the last two wins happening in Dayton. Bowling Green is up next for OSU, and it’ll be their toughest test so far this season. Meredith and Geoff look at who the Bucks have to keep an eye on, and how they pull off the marquee win.
