Throughout the season, Land-Grant Holy Land will be bringing you uncut audio primarily from Ohio State press conference, but also from individual breakout sessions.
On today’s episode we have the first post-game audio of the 20-19 season. On Saturday, August 31st, the No. 5 Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the Florida Atlantic Owls by a score of 45-21. Following the game, starting quarterback Justin Fields and head coach Ryan Day addressed the media.
In there first games in their new positions, Fields and Day broke down the season opening victory. Both indicated that they were pleased with the performance and that there were more positives than negatives to come from the game.
Though Fields was short on details in his portion of the presser, he said that he thought he played well in his official Ohio State debut. Similarly, Day praised his team’s performance, but noted that the lull following the first quarter will be something that needs addressed.
