The Best Damn Band in the Land catches trapeze artist in ‘Modern Movie Musical’ halftime show

If you were one of the 100,000-plus fans that went to The ‘Shoe today, outside of the first nine minutes, you were thoroughly entertained straight through to the soggy end, thanks to an eye-popping halftime extravaganza.

Yeah, what the No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes football team did in their 76-5 victory over the Miami-Ohio RedHawks was incredibly impressive, but the Ohio State University Marching Band proved why they are the Best Damn Band in the Land. During halftime of the game, the band did a special “modern movie musical” program that saw scenes from “The Greatest Showman,” “Mary Poppins Returns,” and more.

TBDBITL portrayed stars like Zendaya and Lin-Manuel Miranda in human stick-figure form to fly through the air with the greatest of ease and to light the lamps in Victorian London.
