The Ohio State Buckeyes wrecked Cincinnati 42-0 yesterday, and it’s hard to find anything to complain about. The defense pitched a shutout, the offense averaged almost seven yards per play, and the team continues to impress in areas —offensive line, linebackers, secondary— that were weak spots in 2018. Oh, and Justin Fields also looks very good.
On this episode of the Hangout in the Holy Land, I give my thoughts on the why it’s the most enjoyable Ohio State game in a while (Non-Michigan edition), and what impresses me most about the 2019 so far, including:
- Why Justin Fields’ smarts are just as important as his athleticism
- The development of the offensive line, the running game, and J.K. Dobbins
- The defense looking the most aggressive they’ve been since 2016
- Other standouts from yesterday’s game
