No. 5 Ohio State Buckeyes (-26.5) vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers | over/under 67.5

At long (long) last, the most stressful offseason in Ohio State Buckeyes football history is finally over. After cancellations, protests, petitions, lawsuits, and ultimately a reversal, the No. 5 Buckeyes will finally open their 2020 season by hosting the Nebraska Cornhuskers today.

Both teams return experienced, junior starting quarterbacks with OSU bringing back Heisman finalist Justin Fields, and the Huskers being led by Adrian Martinez, who won a quarterback battle over Luke McCaffrey (yes, those McCaffreys).

Today’s game will be the first opportunity for OSU fans to see Oklahoma transfer running back Trey Sermon suit up in the scarlet and gray, as he and Master Teague look to fill the gap left by the program’s only player to ever rush for 2,000 yards in a single season, J.K. Dobbins.

The Buckeyes are 7-1 all-time against the Cornhuskers, and have won five straight dating back to Urban Meyer’s first season in Columbus in 2012.

Game Date/Time: Saturday, Oct. 24, 12 noon ET
Location: Columbus, Ohio | Ohio Stadium
TV: FOX
Radio: 97.1 FM/1460 AM
Temperature: 46°F with a 5% chance of rain at kickoff

Matt’s Game Prediction: Ohio State 59-17
