On LGHL’s Outside the Shoe podcast, we talk all things Ohio State athletics that happen outside the confines of the Horseshoe.

On the show today, Meredith talks about her all-time favorite sport to play: women’s lacrosse. The Buckeyes have already jumped out to a 3-0 start on the season with wins over Duquesne, Robert Morris and Kent State, but they’ll have their toughest test yet ahead of them tonight when they travel to New York to face No. 10 Stony Brook in their first road game of the year.

For the team, this year also marks the first season under a new coaching regime. Head coach Amy Bokker, who spent the previous 11 seasons at Stanford, joined the program last June. Bokker brings on a host of veteran talent, including senior attack Liza Hernandez, junior midfielder Lindsay Epstein and goale Jill Rizzo. The new head coach also has a dozen true freshmen on the squad, including several who’ve already made an impact through three games.
