It may be just the first week of March, but there has already been a ton of Ohio State news this week as if it were August. With all of the updates coming out of spring camp, it can be easy for some of the recruiting headlines to get lost in the shuffle. We here at Land-Grant Holy Land are here to get you back up to speed on anything you may have missed during this busy time of the offseason.

Just one day after making the cut for a big out of state recruit in Michigan native Rocco Spindler, Ohio State finds itself on another list. Four-star 2021 outside linebacker Dallas Turner has put the Buckeyes in his top 10. Currently holding 28 offers from some of the nation’s top programs, OSU was included on his short list among other big dogs like Alabama, Georgia and Oregon as well as a trio of in-state schools in Florida, Florida State and Miami.
Turner, hailing out of St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is the No. 14 OLB in the class and No. 23 recruit out of the Sunshine State. Honored as the Broward County Defensive Player of the Year after his junior season, Turner recorded a whopping 15 sacks in his 2019 campaign. There are currently no Crystal Balls for him just yet, but it would seem he is leaning towards Alabama or Florida. However, with the Buckeyes at least making the cut for his top 10, they are certainly not out of the race.
His Ohio State offer is a relatively fresh one, having only received it on Jan. 31. Having already made an official visit to Columbus back in November, the Buckeyes will hope to get Turner back in town for one of his officials to try and sway the rising senior out of the South and into a Buckeye uniform.
Quick Hits
- Another Florida product has voiced his interest in Ohio State. According to 247Sports’ Bill Kurelic, the Buckeyes are the one school that stands out to 2021 cornerback Ja’Den McBurrows. Having received an offer from OSU in February, McBurrows plans to make his first visit to Columbus at the end of March with his family. Holding around 25 offers, the defensive back has Ohio State at the top of his list because of their ability to get players to the NFL, he told Kurelic.
- Four-star Ohio running back Corey Kiner will be dropping his official top 10 on Friday, the athlete announced on Twitter. It is absolutely imperative that the Buckeyes pick up a pair of highly-regarded running backs in this year’s class, and Kiner is one near the top of their list. The Cincinnati native is the No. 10 RB and No. 7 player in Ohio in the 2021 class.

- It appears Ohio State will be getting a visit from four-star athlete Jantzen Dunn on Wednesday. The nation’s No. 22 athlete and the No. 2 player out of the state of Kentucky took to Twitter on Tuesday night to announce his trip. Dunn previously made an unofficial visit to OSU back in November, and despite holding over 23 offers already, he does not currently have one from the Buckeyes.
