Despite having a commitment announcement scheduled for August 1, the 41st ranked player in the country Tunmise Adeleye announced on Wednesday, April 15 that he was committed to play college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
The 6-foot-3, 240 pound defensive end is the fourth-ranked player at his position and the eighth-rated player in the state of Florida; Adeleye attends the IMG Academy in Bradenton, but has played his high school football at Katy (Texas) Tompkins High School thus far.

Greg Mattison (primary) and Larry Johnson (secondary) were Adeleye’s recruiters, beating out offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas, USC, and many others.
Adeleye has dropped 20 to 25 pounds since the end of his junior season and has a frame to aded muscle and to play a variety of positions and styles when he ends up in Columbus. Equally adept at playing the run or bass, Adeleye’s technique is impressive for his age.
He becomes the 15th player in Ohio State’s insanely stacked 2021 recruiting class, and the second SDE, along with the nation’s third-ranked player Jack Sawyer. He is the class’ 11th four-star player to go along with three five-stars and a pair of three-star recruits.
Welcome to Buckeye Nation, Tunmise.
