And the BOOMS just keep on coming, as on Wednesday night, four-star 2022 cornerback Jyaire “Hollywood” Brown officially committed to play his college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Brown is currently the 122nd-ranked player in the country and the sixth highest rated player in the state of Louisiana. However, the allure of the now legendary Kerry Coombs recruiting pitch could not be ignored, as Brown spurned his in-state (and national champion) LSU Tigers, Alabama, Mississippi State, Georgia, Florida State, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, and more than a dozen other schools.
The Buckeyes officially offered Brown just four days before he committed, following a recent rash of offers from high profile programs. The Warren Easton sophomore helped his team to a state runner-up finish in the fall of 2019.
Brown is the first player to commit to OSU’s 2022 class, but given the obscenely highly ranked 2021 class, I would imagine plenty of other rising juniors will be joining him the coming months.
Welcome to Buckeye Nation, Hollywood.
