Did you miss out on some of the latest news surrounding from the world of Ohio State football recruiting? Don’t worry! Land-Grant Holy Land is here to save the day and get you caught back up with things.

Buckeyes hand out new 2022 offers

Before you can join the Buckeyes the class of 2022 like CJ Hicks did on Friday, you first have to earn a scholarship offer from the Ohio State coaching staff. Now one step closer to calling Columbus their future stomping grounds, four highly sought after soon-to-be junior prospects walked away from the weekend holding an opportunity to rock the Scarlet and Gray at the collegiate level.

Want to know which recruits landed an offer from the Buckeyes? We’ve got you covered:

Four-star S Zion Branch

Class: 2022

Town: Las Vegas, NV/Bishop Gorman

Size: 6-foot-2/190 pounds

Other Offers: Georgia, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, etc

Breakdown: A product of the same program that produced current Buckeye Haskell Garrett, Ohio State is now hoping to bring another Gael into the fold. Rated a top-75 prospect in the class of 2022, Branch has shown ball hawking ability from the safety spot, finishing his sophomore campaign with nearly 30 total tackles and five interceptions at Bishop Gorman.

Four-star TE Donovan Green

Class: 2022

Town: Dickinson, TX/Dickinson

Size: 6-foot-4/210 pounds

Other Offers: Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, Texas, Texas A&M, etc

Breakdown: Considered the top overall tight end in the 2022 class, Green is a big time pass catching threat at Dickinson High. Hauling in 34 receptions as a sophomore, he finished the year with 615 yards receiving and five touchdowns.

Four-star OT Joey Tanona

Class: 2022

Town: Zionsville, IN/Zionsville

Size: 6-foot-5/280 pounds

Other Offers: Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Tennessee, etc

Breakdown: Exactly what most college coaches look for in big guys up front, Tanona shows the skill set to play tackle or guard at the next level. A tough kid with long arms, and good speed for a lineman, he was a big reason why the Zionsville rushing attack accounted for over 2,000 total yards this past season.

Three-star OG Demon “DJ” Moore

Class: 2022

Town: Fort Wayne, IN/R. Nelson Snider

Size: 6-foot-4/295 pounds

Other Offers: Indiana, Missouri, Penn State, Purdue, Texas A&M

Breakdown: Starting to watch his recruitment take off, Moore is adding offers and interest by the day. A road-grader type, Moore has seen time at multiple spots on the line, and brings decent athleticism to the table for his size. Still raw, he’s a recruit who could see his stock rise with more time on the field to perfect his craft during his last two seasons of high school ball at R. Nelson Snider.
