Friday Fun: Ohio State hoops’ best dunks from last season

With absolutely nothing going on right now on the college basketball front, why not indulge in some Friday rim rattling?

I’ll keep it 100 with you guys — there is absolutely nothing going on right now in college basketball to cover.

We could have a season with some fans, we could have a season with no fans, or we could have no season at all. The conference schedules have not been released, in part because we don’t know if there will even be a conference season to play.

Things are’t so much bleak as much as they’re just unknown, which hurts all the same. Ohio State football has been pushed to the spring (or winter? Who knows at this point), but all indications are that if there is a college basketball season, it’s going to start right around the same time it typically would, right in the middle of November.

....but even that is not guaranteed. No Ohio State football or basketball would really put my mental health in the toilet though, so we’re going to flush that out with a bunch of dunks today.

Below, I’ve put together a collection of the top dunks of the 2019-2020 season, strictly for the serotonin they provide us during these tough times. Happy Friday Buckeyes, it won’t be long until we get to see these slams live on the hardwood once again.

Kyle Young opens the season with a two-handed jam:

Ohio State’s most important player scored the first bucket of the 2019-2020 season.

DJ Carton slams over two Wildcats:

Carton throws down the hammer on throwback night:

DJ Carton wasn’t even born yet when Ohio State stopped playing their home games in St. John Arena, but that didn’t stop him from giving Kent State a quick history lesson.

Muhammad tosses a dime, Liddell cashes it in:

A lot of people forget that Ohio State beat North Carolina by 25 in the Dean Dome last year.

Dec. 22, 2019

Big Red makes light work of Big Blue:

“We’Re A bLuE bLoOd!”

Dec. 29, 2019

Fancy feet ———> ferocious flush:

Who let Kaleb bring the toy rim to Cleveland?

Jan. 26, 2020

DJ Carton from....behind the backboard?

If I understood physics I probably wouldn’t be writing for this website, but I’m still scratching my head at how this worked.

Balding Boilermaker wants no part of Kyle Young:

Evan Boudreaux looked interested for a moment, but Kyle taking flight gave him second thoughts

Liddell’s coming out party:

If E.J. Liddell doesn’t get the chance to do things like this on a nightly basis this year, we will riot.
