New Year’s Day certainly brought great tidings for Ohio State fans, with the Buckeyes effectively stomping Clemson 49-28 in the Sugar Bowl. And now, the third-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes (6-0) are facing the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide (12-0) in the College Football Playoff National Championship game.
The Tide are eight-point favorites over the Buckeyes in a rematch of the CFP semi-final game from 2014 — when Cardale Jones and Co. famously defeated top-ranked Alabama to earn a berth in the championship game. The Buckeyes will be looking for similar magic tonight as they’re seeking their ninth national title in program history.
Let’s jump in.
