Land-Grant Holy Land’s newest podcast series, Stick to Sports, will be unlike any podcast you’ve heard on the Ohio State beat. Your hosts, Tia Johnston and Matt Tamanini, will (of course) talk Ohio State football, but the primary focus of the show will be on what’s going on around the periphery, such as weird/funny happenings in college football and the sports world at large, as well as other things that keep us interested in between games, whether that’s pop culture, social media trends— you name it.

A tale as old as time. Once again, we received breaking news right before hitting the “record button.” This time, it was the rumors that the national championship game may be postponed due to a high number of positive tests and contact tracing within Ohio State’s program. To start the show, we unpack what this means for the team, whether or not we think it’ll happen, why Alabama fans might want to take a seat when it comes to their poor takes on the matter, and why everyone should just take everything with a grain of salt because no one actually knows anything at all!
On the second half of the show, we obviously had to recap the glorious day that was January 1, 2021, aka the day Ohio State beat Clemson’s socks off in the form of 49-28 (it never gets old!). We discuss the Buckeyes’ flawless game plan, the poetic justice/ similarities between this year’s and last year’s matchup, why nothing else matters now that Chris Olave is happy, and last but not least, the sensation that is Trey Sermon.
