When two programs such as Penn State and Ohio State take the field against each other college football fans take notice. With over 100,000 screaming fans packed into Ohio Stadium to take in the Buckeyes victory over the Nittany Lions on Saturday night, a good amount of those bodies were highly sought after high school prospects.

Having the chance to get a better feel for what it would be like to suit up in a big time ball match up on the college level many recruits left Columbus blown away with their experience. Want to know what the prospects had to say about their time on the Ohio State University campus? Land-Grant Holy Land caught up with the following prospects and grabbed their thoughts on their trips.

Thoughts: “The visit was great. I got to speak with Coach Johnson, Coach Day, and Coach Wilson. I got to be in the position meetings and talk to a lot of players on the team. They said they want me at their school and they like me as a football player but love me as a person. The stadium was rocking all night. The buckeye fan base is crazy. The visit is at the top for sure.”

Thoughts: “The trip went amazing. I got to tour the indoor facility with my family, go to skull session, go on the field pregame, meet the coaches, and go in the locker room after the game. I spoke with Coach Stud, Cook, Jeffers and Alford. They really like how I’ve been playing and they want to continue to get me up to Columbus.”

4-star CB Christian Gray

Thoughts: “It was amazing. I was speechless through the whole game. I knew it was going to be a dawg fight, but I had faith in Ohio State to come out with the win. I talked to the coaches, JK, and Cam Brown. It was fun to meet all the commits. (I also chatted with) Coach Coombs and Coach Barnes. It was a great conversation. We talked about our season, and our teams.”

Thoughts: “It went great. Having the conversation with Coach Day was awesome with my parent there too and to watch an awesome game it couldn’t get much better. I’ve been in touch with a few of them including Coach Coombs, Coach Stud, and Coach Cook. They were like you are a special guy and we don’t hand them out to everyone. I went to go down to talk to Coach Day and he offered me and my parents were there too so that was special. They said, we don’t offer everyone now and you have been working really hard and they offered me.”
