Top prospects set up trips to visit Ohio State

After the dead period the Buckeyes will finally have a chance to play host to some of the top talent on the high school level.

Top prospects set up visits

When the NCAA finally lifts the dead period in the coming months, top notch high school talent will finally have the chance to visit their potential college landing spots. Wasting no time in announcing their upcoming plans, numerous highly sought after recruits have stated they’ll soon be in Columbus to get a closer look at the Ohio State University campus.

Four-star RB Nicholas Singleton

Class: 2022

Town: Reading, PA/Governor Mifflin

Size: 6-foot, 210 pounds

News: Earlier this month Singleton announced a top nine of Ohio State, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Penn State, Texas A&M, Auburn, Michigan, Alabama, and Northwestern. Fast forward a couple weeks, and the soon-to-be-senior already know which programs he’ll be giving a even closer look. Per Louie Vaccher of Rivals, the Pennsylvania native will have a busy June, visiting Wisconsin (3rd-6th), Penn State (11th-13th), Northwestern (15-17th), Notre Dame (18th-20th), and finally Ohio State (25th-27th).

Four-star TE Jaxon Howard

Class: 2023

Town: Minneapolis, MN/Robbinsdale Cooper

Size: 6-foot-4, 225 pounds

News: Picking up his scholarship offer from the Buckeyes on March 1st, Howard is one of the hottest prospects on the 2023 market. Earning nearly 50 total offers so far throughout the process, the talented play maker will make his quick trip to Columbus on Friday June 4th, followed up by other unofficial visits to Michigan (June 4th), Michigan State (June 5th), Notre Dame (June 5th), Northwestern (June 6th), and Wisconsin (June 6th).

DE Derrick LeBlanc

Class: 2023

Town: Kissimmee, FL/Osceola

Size: 6-foot-4, 235 pounds

News: While Howard is taking a closer look at Northwestern and Wisconsin on the 6th of June, another class of 2023 prospect will be on the Ohio State University campus to see what it would be like to be a student athlete in Ryan Day’s system. Unranked by 247Sports, but already reportedly holding over 35 offers from programs throughout the country, LeBlanc, who accounted for 65 total tackles, and 15 quarterback sacks, will head up to the Midwest from the Sunshine State.
