The day started with the announcement that the Pac-12 was finally getting a new commissioner.

With the rumors of an announcement and press conference coming from Ohio State, a lot of folks began to wonder if Gene Smith was heading west. But Spoiler Alert, he is not.

With word that Gene Smith wouldn’t be the new Pac-12 commissioner, there was only one name that we wanted to hear at their new commissioner announcement.

And while we didn’t get the gloriousness of Bill Walton running the Pac-12, we did get the most Pac-12iest option possible.
