On today’s episode, I am in conversation with two-time All-American and Ray Guy winning punter from the University of Georgia Drew Butler. Following the end of his NFL career, Drew has been working at the intersection of sports and media, and has recently become the head of the college division for Icon Source, a digital marketplace that connects brands with professional and college athletes.

Icon Source’s goal is to create an easy, efficient, legal opportunity for brands and college athletes to work together once Name, Image, and Likeness laws take effect in various states across the country beginning on July 1st.

Drew and I discuss all sorts of topics related to student-athlete compensation, what recent legislation means to these efforts, and how Icon Source works to the advantage of both brand and athlete.
