In between work, running errands, doing chores around the house, and hanging out with family and friends there’s a good chance you might’ve missed out on some of the latest recruiting news surrounding your Ohio State Buckeyes. Don’t worry! Land-Grant Holy Land is here to help get you caught back up with things.

Ryan Day and the Ohio State football team aren’t the only ones gearing up for a busy June on the recruiting front. Playing host to numerous potential Buckeyes in the coming weeks, Chris Holtmann and the OSU basketball program will also have their handful showing highly sought after high school prospects around the Columbus campus.

According to Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers, a four-star power forward has Ohio State among the places he’s planning on giving a much closer look at next month. Setting up all five of his official visits, Wilbraham & Monson Academy (MA) will check out Syracuse (June 5-6), Ohio State (June 12-13), Indiana (June 15-16), Iowa (June 17-18), and the Blue Devils of Duke (June 28-29). In between his official trips, the 6-foot-10 big man will also reportedly make unofficial stops at Northwestern (June 19), and UConn (June 24).

Kyle’s brother and fellow class of 2022 big man Matthew Filipowski, who holds offers from Pittsburgh, Bryant, Stony Brook, and others tells Land-Grant Holy Land he too will also be on the OSU campus June 12-13.

Kyle Filipowski, the 10th power forward and 57th overall prospect in the class of 2022 per the 247Sports Composite Rankings, isn’t afraid to bang around down low or step outside and knock down a shot. A well-rounded athlete on the court, he averaged over 20 points, and 10 rebounds per contest for Wilbraham & Monson.

Looking to add a top soon-to-be-senior post presence to the Buckeyes class, Filipowski would fit in nicely with what Holtmann and crew are already putting together. Holding three verbal pledges at the moment from guards Roddy Gayle, Bruce Thornton, and Bowen Hardman, Ohio State has the current top-rated 2022 recruiting class in the country.
