Mondays are always busy, and just in case your start to the week was as busy as Ohio State’s, Land-Grant Holy Land has you covered on all things Ohio State recruiting.
Four-star DE could soon trim down list
Ohio State’s 2022 recruiting class is off to an incredible start. Currently, the class sits at No. 3 in the country with 11 verbal commits. With the class being roughly half full, the Buckeyes will likely become more targeted in who they continue pursuing.
One of the positions Ryan Day and the Buckeyes are still targeting heavily is defensive end, and we learned on Monday that the program may soon move one step closer in securing one of their top targets at the position.
It appeared early Monday afternoon that four-star DE Enai White was going to be announcing his list of finalists. However, as of the time this being written, a list has not yet been announced.

While we may not yet know who will be included in White’s top schools, it would be a surprise if Ohio State was not included. The program offered him almost a year ago, and has since become a legitimate contender in his recruitment.
With the end of the recruiting dead period finally in sight, recruits are able to start scheduling official visits again. White already has four of those visits scheduled, and he is scheduled to visit Ohio State on June 25. White also has visits scheduled for Alabama, Georgia and Florida as of right now. One would expect for the four of these to be included in his top schools at least, with Clemson and Penn State likely to be included as well.
Ohio State has yet to secure a commitment at defensive end in the 2022 class, and White would make for an incredible addition to an already loaded class. However, if he were to choose elsewhere, Ohio State is also heavily involved with four-star DE’s Kenyatta Jackson and Wilfredo Aybar.
White is the No. 39 overall prospect and the No. 2 WDE in the class. He is also the No. 1 recruit in the talent-rich state of Pennsylvania.
