We hope you enjoyed what ended up being a beautiful Memorial Day. While many caught up with family for what might have been the first time in over a year, Ohio State was busy making the recruiting headlines. Land-Grant Holy Land has you covered in case you missed anything.
2023 four-star CB announces Ohio State visit
With the recruiting dead period ending with the start of June, Ryan Day and the Ohio State football coaching staff will be busy hosting many of the nation’s top talents. Making up for lost time, a plethora of recruits will be making official and unofficial visits to Ohio State this month, including those already committed to the Buckeyes as well as some the coaching staff is hoping to soon earn commitments from sooner or later.
The latest to add his name to the Ohio State June visitor list is 2023 Georgia cornerback Kayin Lee.

Rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports, the announcement of the visit came just a day prior to the scheduled visit as he is set to arrive on campus later today.
The Buckeyes have yet to earn a commitment in the 2023 recruiting class, but this is par for the course in next year’s cycle with the extended dead period due to the Covid-19 pandemic. With recruits beginning to make visits to college campuses across the nation, commitments will likely start rolling in quickly.
The cornerback position is one that Ohio State seems to make a priority every year because of their success at sending talents to the NFL Draft seemingly every year. The Buckeyes are taking a good look at Lee, but they are certainly not alone. Lee has already earned close to a dozen offers from some of the nation’s top schools, including the likes of Arkansas, Auburn, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Florida State, etc. However, Ohio State has yet to offer.
Look for Ohio State to offer him shortly following the visit and the Buckeyes could quickly jump into the lead in his recruitment as they will also be his first visit. Lee is the No. 109 overall prospect in 247Sports own rankings, and he is the No. 10 CB. He is also the No. 13 prospect in the talent-rich state of Georgia.
Four-star center schedules Ohio State visit
Ohio State isn’t just gearing up for recruiting visits on the football field. Chris Holtmann and the Basketball Buckeyes will also soon be playing host to multiple blue-chip prospects. The most recent recruit to announce his visit is 2022 four-star center Donovan Clingan.
High 4⭐️ junior Donovan Clingan has three tentative official visit dates for June, with an unofficial, he told @Stockrisers.

Will unofficial to UConn. Clingan a legit five-star caliber prospect. Big summer ahead. pic.twitter.com/fRjhXfcw6n
As was first reported by Jake Weingarten, Clingan will be officially visiting Ohio State June 24-25 with official visits to Michigan and Syracuse scheduled for earlier in the month and an unofficial to UConn also planned.
Clingan is quickly becoming a priority target for Ohio State as he plays a position of need for the Buckeyes and is one of the best at his position. He included the Buckeyes in his top eight schools in April as well as Michigan, Syracuse, UConn, Georgetown, Providence, Rutgers and Notre Dame.
Look for the Buckeyes to continue pursuing Clingan, however if he decides to commit elsewhere, Ohio State is also heavily targeting fellow blue-chip centers Dereck Lively and Shawn Phillips.
Clingan is the No. 41 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite Rankings and is the No. 6 center. He is also the No. 1 recruit from Connecticut.
