In case your start of the week was busy with work or spending time with family and friends outside, you may have missed Ohio State making the recruiting headlines. If so, no need to worry as Land-Grant Holy Land has you covered on all things Ohio State related.
Four-star WR set to commit in early July
June has been an insanely busy month for the Ohio State football program. As was expected after more than a year-long dead period, Ryan Day and the Ohio State coaching staff played host to what felt like every recruit in the 2022 and 2023 recruiting class. They even hosted some in the 2024 recruiting class as well.
The last few weeks have flown by, but things will start to slow down with Monday marking the first day of the new dead period. The well-deserved break will not be boring or go without the Buckeyes making headlines, as there will be multiple elite prospects making college decisions in the coming weeks.
One of those said recruits set to make a decision soon is 2022 four-star wide receiver Kojo Antwi. The blue-chip prospect hails from Suwanee, GA and officially visited with Ohio State on June 18. In addition to the Buckeyes, Antwi also visited with Georgia, USC, Texas A&M and Alabama in June. However, this seems to be all he needed to see, as he has announced he will be taking no more interviews ahead of his scheduled commitment date of July 5, 2021.

Currently, it looks like Ohio State and the home state school Georgia are the two favorites, with the Bulldogs being viewed as having a slight edge over the Buckeyes.
Antwi’s visit with Ohio State earlier this month went as well as possible. He was able to spend time with current Ohio State WR’s and the coaching staff. However, will it be enough to overtake the Bulldogs is another question. The blue-chip prospect has kept his recruitment close to the vest throughout his entire process, and with the above Tweet it appears we will have no further insight on his decision until he makes his official announcement.
Ohio State already holds verbal commitments from three WR’s in the 2022 recruiting class in five-star Caleb Burton, four-star Kaleb Brown and fellow four-star Kyion Grayes. However, they would like to add one more, and Antwi would make for an excellent addition.
- Ohio State made the cut for three-star safety Jake Pope. Alongside the Buckeyes, Pope included Alabama, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Georgia in his top five schools. Pope took an official visit with Ohio State on June 18, and has also completed visits with Notre Dame, Alabama and North Carolina.
